Better Translator Pro 1.1.0 released!
-
Added romanization support! When you translate to any of the following languages, the romanized form will be added to the end of the translation (there may be a delay before it appears):
Belarusian, Bulgarian, Chinese (Pinyin), Greek, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Macedonian, Russian, Serbian, Thai, Ukranian
Some devices are not able to show all characters.
You can also skip translation completely and just select the same language twice (e.g. Japanese > Japanese).
-
Overhauled UI - now a much cleaner look
-
Long-press on the language buttons to bring up a list of recently-used languages. Long-press on the swap-language button to bring up list of recently-used language pairs. Long press on translate button (Google or Bing icon) to trigger a particular translator engine (Google or Bing)
-
About screen - touch first item to go directly to the app’s system settings (where you can Force Stop the app, Move-to-SD (2.2 and above) etc. Also added links to this blog and Twitter feed
-
Added simple Welcome screen (users only see this the first time they use the app) and improved What’s New screen (now gives brief details rather than just a link to this blog)
-
Starring translations is much faster (there used to be a noticeable delay)
-
If you select a source language to something the same as the existing target language, you are then automatically prompted for a new target language. Also, the other way around
